Showcasing the sweet fruit flavours of the primitivo grape, another one very much at home in this heat, Jema is a wine of some weight, creamy and rich, balancing high fruit notes with a herby, vegetal character.

A beautifully balanced white wine, with the heat of the region offering a creaminess to the ripe fruit flavours. The Malvasia keeps things lively, crisp and floral, whilst the Chardonnay, allowed to age on its lees, adds some weight and definition.

The bright cherry red colour matches the cherry notes of the wine nicely, which are given a complex undertone by spicy notes of herb, nettles and liquorice. A full wine which carries huge amounts of flavour very elegantly indeed.  

A dry, earthy style of rose, very well suited to food. Spicy, herbal notes and a rich yet stylish character make this yet one more wine to chalk down as evidence that rose should be taken seriously.

Eight months in barrique brings the cabernet to the fore, offering classic plum and berry notes, whilst the native negroamaro holds things together with the low notes, adding an earthy blend of herbs and spices and a real sense of the south. 

An unusual blend for the region, the chocolatey, leathery Petit Verdot works nicely alongside the rich, plummy Aglianico, with both having 14 months in barrique to get to know each other. This is a serious wine, and with some patience, the result is a harmonious blend of high fruit notes, rich heady flavours and a herbaceaous character that brings it all down to earth.
